Why Omnichannel Support?
A support channel is any way in which you and your customers communicate, for example: telephone, email, chat, or video. Multichannel support is having more than one communication channel available for your customers to reach out to you. This gives you greater customer retention, as your well-informed client base wants and deserves multiple contact methods. Omnichannel support is different, in that it maintains synchronicity across all the various channels through which your customer may wish to contact you. So, if they want to deal with tech support via telephone, but would prefer to handle service issues via chat, you’ve got them covered. Everyone who has a touch with that contact is aware of their current status within our system, so tech support knows where you left off in chat on your client’s service issue, and vice versa. The key here is consistency. Your customers know when they get in touch with you, by whatever means, that they will not have to explain their situation over again to yet another support agent.
